I’ve so excited to finally share that I now offer TWO sizes of albums, to cater for different needs and budgets. I have always had my big beautiful 10″ x 10″ albums, and continue to offer them with my packages as they’re so damn sexy. But here’s the thing – they are 30 spreads (60 pages), and $1,000. I reached out to some past couples for feedback on why they didn’t choose to include an album, and most responded saying that they couldn’t afford the extra cost, but definitely wanted an album and would need to save up. I definitely want to avoid having my couples going to places like Kmart or Officeworks and creating prints/albums, as their low-quality printers can totally ruin my work with incorrect colour reproduction and unprofessional quality. My albums are designed to last a lifetime – I guarantee that a Kmart album will not last (and won’t look good, either!).

So I put my thinking hat on. I really believe that photos are meant to be enjoyed in a tangible form, either prints or albums, so I really want to get albums in people’s hands. This is my solution: an album that’s half the number of spreads, and half the cost. The print quality is the exact same, but the paper stock is slightly thinner to the touch (without compromising on quality, it just uses up less paper so costs less). The dimensions of these albums are 12″ wide by 9″ high. Simples!

Basically, it’s cheaper as you get less choices of cover material (just linen, no leather option), and less spreads (max of 15 spreads, the bigger album takes 30). But the 9″ x 12″ is not an album to show every single photo of the day, instead it focuses on your favourite 50 or so images to tell the story how you want it told. For those wanting more coverage and the thicker pages, the 10″ x 10″ album uses approx 100-120 images, and has a lot more options for cover designs and materials.

Now that you know the two options, let me summarise it for you:

  • The 10″ x 10″ album is perfect for those looking to cover the whole day with a large selection of images across a maximum of 30 spreads. Features the beautiful lay-flat design that minimises (and almost eliminates) the crease in the middle of each spread. The 10″ x 10″ album is $1000 before the wedding, and $1200 after the wedding.
  • The 9″ x 12″ album is perfect for those looking to get an album of their favourite moments (a maximum of 15 spreads), to remember their day by. Features the beautiful lay-flat design that minimises (and almost eliminates) the crease in the middle of each spread. The 9″ x 12″ album is $500 and can be ordered before your wedding or up to 6 months after.

With either album, you select your favourite images and then receive a digital draft of your album, where you can make any changes necessary. I want it to be YOUR album, so you are actively involved in the design and selection process.
